Kaira assures Hunza-Nagar delegation to immediately work on new Hunza Nagar district

Hunza, April 23: A delegation of the PPP leadership from Hunza Nagar has met with Chairmain NALA, Qamar Zaman Kaira to present a charter of demand. Syed Yahya Shah and Wazir Baig presented the charter which included demands for increase in number of seats for Hunza in the NALA, solution for electricity crisis, mortgage system of ZTBL loaning system, creation of job opportunities in dry fruit and related sectors, estbalishment of a  potato seeds production unit, introduction of tax system in Sost for local development and abolishment of the unjust Kohistan tax, increasing KKH compensation and approval of PC-IV for completed projects.

Chairman assured that the progress on establishing Hunza-Nagar district will get momentum and for this reason funds will be allocated in the coming fiscal year. He also announced to establish Polytechnic Institute in Hunza. He said seats in NALA will be increased after consulting concerned departments.

Wazir Baig, former member NALC also forwarded a detailed report regarding the issues at Sost Dry Port. Minister assured the delegation that the local administration will not make unnecessary interference in the affairs of port trust. He also said that legal action will be taken against all those involved in mismanagement and corruption.Syed Mahdi Shah, President PPP NAs, Muhammad Mussa and President PPP Islamabad were also present during the meeting.

Syed Yahya Shah, Muhammad Ali Akhtar (MNALA), Kalb Ali, Fida Ali, Hajat Ali and Ali Muhammad represented Nagar in the delegation. Hunza was represented by Wazir Baig, Senior Vice President PPP NAs, Ghulam Muhammad, Senior Vice President PPP NAs, Lal Hussain (Ganish), Imam Dad (Aliabad), Aziz Jan, Chairman UC Gojal 1, Hajat Muhammad (Morkhoon), Abdul Rasheed (Passu), Imtiaz Ali (Passu), Sherullah Baig (Gulmit), Faiz Ali (Member UC Gulmit), Shah Faisal (Passu) Darvesh (Shishkat) and LAtif (Shishkat).
