Salgirah Mela starts in Gulmit, Gojal

Gulmit, 6 july: With 11th July, the Imamat Day of His Highness the Aga Khan approaching, Ismailies across the region are have started preparations for celebrating the event, forgetting all hardships and griefs. In this connection a Salgirah (Imamat Day) Mela opened today, here, in Gulmit. The Mela is likely to continue for the next two days.

Nineteen stalls have been set as part of the Mela, giving an impressive variety of merchandise for men and women of all ages, for shopping. The Mela is part of an effort to make things available for the masses, with the view of presenting convinient and inexpensive shopping options to the people. A successful mela had been arranged last year and was appreciated by the general public.

On the very happy occasion of Salgirah Mubarak I would like to pass on my deepest and warmest greetings to all the Jamat.
Although this year I am not having the oportunity to celeberate this happy moment with all my Dyore but have my attachment and connections which are really strong and mesmerizing.
May this Mubarak day bring happiness to all the community members individually as well as collectively(Ameen).
