Cricket tournament kicks off in Shimshal today

Gulmit, July 15: Eleven teams from across Gojal are participating in this year’s biggest cricket tournament of the region, being held in Shimshal valley.

Jointly organized by the Aga Khan Youth & Sports Board and Gojal Tehsil Sports Association, the tournament has been dedicated to climbers who lost life last year in an avalanche. Teams from different villages of Gojal have reached Shimshal, where they are expected to stay for one week, till the final match.
