3 new departments at KIU

Gilgit, November 22: Total number of departments at the Karakuram International University has increased to fifteen, with addition of three new departments, including Behavioral Sciences, Communication Sciences and Environmnetal scienses.
Public circles have lauded the establishment of new departments at the rergion’s only university, but they have also expressed apprehension over availability of funds for making the departments fully functional and effective. It is pertinent to note here that the PPP government’s first victim was the budget allocated for education. The slash in funds has badly affected performances of universities and other centers of higher learning throughout the country.
The previous vice – chancellor of KIU had also been complaining about acute lack of funds for effective governance of the university.
In another decision the current VC has also decreased the tuition fees paid by students in different degree classes.

what if a deaprtment for sectarian politics is opened at KIU as many chairpersons are available in the area to run this enterprising deaprtment. it is the only deaprtment in which we are excelling and we are second to no one.

thats realy good news for the students of Glt-Blt. we hope that management of kiu will arrange well educated and well experienced faculities to run those depatment, not like the current departments are ……………….
