“Imported goods worth 4 billion rupees stuck in Sost”, Javed Hussain

Gilgit, February 31: Chairman of the Gilgit – Baltistan Chamber of Commerce, Javed Hussain, has said that imported goods worth 4 billion rupees are stuck at Sost Dry Port and the government shall provide airlifting services to lessen the losses being incurred by the importers. He was addressing a press conference at a local hotel here in Gulmit.

He also demanded the Pakistani government shall get help from the Chinese government of reopening of the KKH. He said that unemployment will disrupt economic life of Gilgit – Baltistan if the government did not open the Karakuram Highway on top priority basis.

He also said that if the government did not pay heed to demands of the importers they will stage protest in Islamabad.
