0
PT Report

Islamabad, February 24: Syed Ahmed Jan, brother of former Rupani Foundation CEO, Sultan Ahmed, passed away last night at the Combined Military Hospital in Gilgit. He had faced an accident along with seven others around two weeks ago in Chipursan. He remained at the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Gulmit for many days without getting proper medical care and treatment before being shifted to Gilgit. Doctors had advised not to move him out of Gilgit because of the injury caused to his spinal chord.

Pamir Times offers heartfelt condolences to Sultan Ahmed and rest of the family members of Syed Ahmed Jan. We pray for the departed soul.

Ina Lilallah hi wa ina ileyhi rajioon.
Seed was an enargitic and hard working individual . Being a professional driver he served many passangers in his capacity. As it is true that we are all suppose to taste the death one day for one or the other resans. His jeep got accident near Kirmin Chipursun with eight passangers. Aafter minor treatment all passangers did get recover. On the other hand, Mr.Saeed Jan was in a critical condition and due to disastar and road blockade in Attabad -Hunza he didn’t reach in Aliabad or Gilgit hospital where the medical facilities are comparatively better from Gojal.

Due to bad weather situation even the helicopetr option was delayed and late. He was picked by heli to CMH Gilgit and was in critical condition. Many of his relatioves and well wishers from Gojal Hunza visited him physically. His brother Sultan came from Canada and meet him physically. At last Saeed Bahi took his last breath and left us forever. His namaz Janaz was offered in Sonikot JamatKhana in the presence of hundereds of his relatives and well wishers. I pray to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul in eternal peace and give patience to the beareaved family ; Ameen.

We are very thankful to the Jamati leaders and volunteers of Sonikot Jamat, who renderered their humble services and all those who faciliated to put the dead body in the helicopetr departed to Chipursun Gojal. We all appreciate your genrousity and Pray to Almighty to bless you all and keep you safe and happiness in your famlies: Ameen

This morning on 24th February 2010, we heard with great shock and sorrows the untimely demise of Mr. Saeed Jan. May his soul rest in eternal peace, Aamen!!
Indeed it is a great loss to the family in particular and to the area in general. However, all humans born into this temporal life have to taste the death some day. INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHE RAJIOON
This is a time of test for the family and all other well wishers. We hope that the family will bear this loss with patience and will show their complete solidarity with the spouse and kids of the deceased.
However, it is atime of reflection to rest of the people of the Gojal Tesil, who are passing through a difficult period due to the natural dissaster at Sarat Hunza and the formation of an artificial dame upstream. Inspite of all the declarations on the emergency situation created in the area; the health department has been unable to provide desired health services and coverage to the natives of Gojal valley.
We therefore, request to the newly elected local government and the department of health GB to put reasonable health services in place to avoid such incidences in future.

Saeed’s untimely demise is really a sad news to all who knew him as a young and skilfull professional who has served many people, travellars, patients, needy and people in emergancy. At the same time his tragic death has caused an irrepairable loss to his family and relatives which can never be compensated. As a first causon, I used to have close contact with him and he was a dedicated, hardworking, kind and simple person with an extra ordinary caurage and determination. I hope his brothers, particularly Sultan will be sholdering the resposibilities of taking care of his widow and kids. We pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for courage for the bereaved members of the family and relatives to bear with this great loss. IWe are thankful to all the relatives. friends. well wishers and the people helped getting him to hospital, who took care of him in the hospital, who visited him in the hospital. who served him before and after hs death. We express our thanks to the Italian Doctor and Asad from Shishal for their timely care and we are greatful to Force Commander FCNA and the Speaker GB Assembaly for providing the helicopter to take his coffin to his native village.

    Dear all,

I am grateful to you all for your kind messages of condolence at this point in time when my family is going through a very tough test as an aftermath of the tragic demise of my beloved brother Saeed Jan. I am indebted to all those who have shown their sympathies with my family through their kind messages on PT and also telephone calls. When my brother met this fatal accident in Chipursan valley, he was taken care of by many volunteers right from Chipursan. The people of Kirmin made greater efforts to rescue him and the other affectees to the Aga Khan Health Center in Resht, my hometown where the two nurses gave him basic first aid and then he was rushed to Gulmit where he was stranded for four days becuase of the road blockage. He was given special care by an Italian Doctor, to whom my whole family is very much indebted. I dont have words for the historic homage given by the people of Gulmit, Ghulkin, Hussainin and Passu. I was told that there were hundreds of relatives and well wishers who came to see my brother on daily basis. This has been an amazing experience for my family members who were accompanying my brother. Then he was shifted to CMH Gilgit by heli provided by the government. At CMH, again all relatives, friends and well wishers visited him and gave solace to my family members. My relatives and friends kept standing day and night for more than two weeks. I dont have words to say thanks, but let me share with you that my family is appreciative of this extraordianry care and affection shown by each and every one. As indicated by Aslam bhai, the role of Speaker GBLA Mr. Wazir Beg and FCNA has been crucial by providing heli for swift transfer of the coffin to our native village, my sincere thanks to them. Meanwhile, Mr. Hikayat Shah of Ispanj Chipursan, kept the village informed of our departure via his telephone set from KSA, in the face of the fact that there is no telephone or mobile facility in the valley.
All doctors at CMH and other specialists in Gilgit as well as Pindi including my cousin Prof. Brig. Salman Ali have been making their level best efforts but ofcourse in front of the will of Allah, no one one stand stronger. I am really grateful to each and every individual for being so kind and considerate during this hour of calamity in my family. Moreover, during this tragedy I had to make a quick decision of moving from Canada which would have been impossible without the kind cooperation and prayers of Dr. Paul Bramadat, Director CSRS, University of Victoria, Mr. Naz Rayani, Mr. Amin Kassam any many other friends.

Saeed (31) has left us with lots of sweet memories which will be with all my family members and friends during the course of our lives and also his life has been an inspiration for many people who knew him closely.

Many thanks again to you all for being so kind and generous in your wishes and prayers.
    Regards,
    Sultan Ahmed
