World TB day observed in Hunza

HUN ZA, March 24: An awareness raising walk in Hunza commemorated the World TB Day in Hunza as hundreds of men and women marched through the streets of Aliabad under the aegis of Hunza Public School and Aga Khan Extended Heath Center Aliabad. Hundreds of students from different schools walked in Aliabad while chanting slogans in order to raise awareness about TB and accelerate efforts to eliminate the disease.

At the end the speakers highlighted different aspects of the disease and recommended measures for its prevention and underscored the important role that individuals can play in fighting TB.
