PT Report

Islamabad, April 16: Eng. Ismail (Baltistan), Dr. Ali Madad Sher (Ghizar), Wazir Shakeel (Baltistan) and Muhammad Ali Akhtar (Hunza – Nagar) have been appointed ministers in cabinet of the Gilgit – Balitstan government. PPP leader Muhammad Jaffar from (Baltistan) has been appointed a ‘senior minister’ in the cabinet. Sadia Danish (Gilgit) and Aftab Haider (Gilgit) have been appointed advisors to the chief minister while Naseer Khan (Astore) and Muhammad Musa (Gilgit) have been appointed as his “special assistants”.

Chief minister of Gilgit – Baltistan, Syed Mehdi Shah made the announcement today at the residence of KANA minister, Mian Manzoor Watto.

The 100% PPP cabinet has come out as a surprise for many because earlier there were talks about inclusion of JUI in the cabinet. The JUI had demanded ‘honorable’ representation, i.e. two ministers, in the cabinet.
