میں تیری وادی جنت کے نظاروں کے نثار
ایک کہرام سا برپا ہے جس کے کوچوں میں
اک اداسی سی جو چھا ئی ہے تیری گلیوں میں
ایک ماتم سا ہے رقصان تیرے کہساروں پر
پڑ گئے زرد ہے ہر ایک حسیں کے چہرے
آج پتھرائے ہیں مہ جبیں کی آنکھیں
سوگواری کا ہے اب راج تیرے گھر گھر میں
ایک حسرت سا برستا ہے تیرے در در سے
اے میرے جنت اعلی، اے میرے ارض وطن
تجھ پہ اب جلد، بہت جلد، نکھار آئے گا
تیرے دامن میں بہت جلد بہار آئے گا
