Pakistan Day Celebrations in Chitral

 

Lahore Resolution was passed on March 23, 1940 in which the establishment of a country for Muslims was demanded

Resolution of Pakistan day celebrated by FCPS and Chitral scouts.

CHITRAL: A colourful event was held today at Frontier Corps Public School, Chitral, today to pay rich tribute and remember  sacrifices of pioneers and leaders of the movement for creation of Pakistan, in connection with Pakistan Resolution Day.

Commandant Chitral Scouts Col .Haroon Rashid was chief guest on the occasion. The ceremony started with recitation from the Holy Quran while students of different classes of FCPS presented Hamd, Naath Sharif and also sang national song. Some female students presented national song.

Chief guest also hoisted national Flag and the participants stood in honor of national Anthem. Small kids presented a dress show of our cultural heritage of four provinces.

A culture show of Chitral folk music was also presented on the occasion which enthralled the participants. A speech competition on the title of resolution of Pakistan day was also held among students of different classes.

The speakers paid rich tribute to our great national heroes like Allama Iqbal, Quaide Azam whose sacrifices caused for creation of our mother land. The speakers stressed on the participants that this country is a God Blessing and this is our moral obligation to protect this country and to play vital role for development of our nation and motherland.

At last chief guest distributed awards and certificates among the students who performed excellently.

Cricket Match

A cricket match was played between Chitral Scouts and Degree College Chitral cricket teams as part of the Pakistan Day celebrations. Winning the toss Degree College team decided batting first and were all out after scoring 68 runs, in 15 overs.

Chitral Scouts achieved the target in 14 overs, having lost 6 wickets.Nike Mahmood of Chitral Scouts was declared man of the match for taking 5 wickets.
