2 soldiers of Chitral Scout still missing

CHITRAL: Two troopers of Chitral Scouts are still missing after the militant Attack of August 27 on Pak – Afghan Border area of Arandu.

Coffins being prepared for the soldiers killed during a brazen cross border attack which MPA Saleemullah Khan from Chitral and several other locals have blamed on the Taliban and their supporters in the Afghanistan government and NATO forces.

Shabir Ahmad vice president of Dawati Azeemat told this scribe that his cousin Naik Tariq Jalal and Sepoy Faqir Muhammad of Chitral Scouts are missing after militant attack on Arando posts.

He said that his family members are going through a very hard time of fear and uncertainty. He said that he contacted high ups of Chitral Scouts for recovery or a news about his relative.

He appealed to the Federal Interior Minister and other concerned quarters to play their role in recovery of missing staff of Chitral Scouts.

Around 37 staff of Chitral scouts, Chitral police, and Border Police force had been killed in a militant attack for which the Taliban had accepted responsibility.
