DC and SP of Hunza – Nagar district changed

Gilgit, September 29: The Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Hunza – Nagar district have been changed. The changes, apparently, came after the GBLA Speaker, Wazir Baig, accused the Hunza – Nagar administration of conspiring to trigger violence in Hunza valley. Baig had made the statement while presiding the GBLA session earlier this month. He had demanded immediate removal of the officers.

In first phase of the changes, SP Tufail was transferred out of Hunza – Nagar and in the second phase the Deputy Commissioner was also removed from his position and directed to work at a position at the GBDMA.

New Deputy Commissioner, Burhanuddin Affandi, has taken charge of his post in Hunza. He was functioning as additional deputy commissioner of Diamer. Affandi has served in Gojal Hunza as Tehsil Magistrate and Relief Commissioner in the past.

    Burhanud din Affandi,is an experience administrator he was perfom as Majistrate Gojal Hunza district past few years very efficiently i think the decision take by Speaker is good decision Hope burhan make peace at Aera and also we hope he also take step Attabad lake people are distrube and home less
