110 million rupees allocated for establishment of KIU Skardu campus

Gilgit—The Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Mehdi Shah has said that the government would make all out efforts for the provision of civic amenities particularly the educational facilities to masses. A statement said that the Chief Minister Mehdi Shah stated this in a meeting with Vice Chancellor Karakoram International University Dr. Najma Aziz. The statement further said that the CM was informed by the university management regarding establishment of a campus in the Skardu region.

The CM announced an amount of Rs 110 million to establish campus in Skardu and stressed the need for its early completion. He also instructed to set up a campus of the university in Diamer district as well. The management assured him that work for campus in Diamer district will begin soon. [APP]
