Road accident kills Attabad youth, two sisters had died in landslide disaster

Gilgit, November 10: Aziz Karim Malsing, a 26 year old youth, died in a tragic road accident today near Rahimabad (Matumdaas). He was on a bike when the accident happened.
A photo of the deceased youth when he was in Karachi. Aziz had to leave his studies, and Karachi, after the death of his two sisters in Attabad landslide disaster.
Locals said that at least three more accidents have taken place at the same spot in the past. Locals complained that due to absence of
safety signs and instructions on the road many people get confused and are faced with avoidable accidents.
Aziz belonged to Attabad. His two sisters, Salama and Sultana, had passed away during the January 4 2010 landslide disaster that took the lives of 19 people.
After the Attabad landslide disaster he had to leave his education and moved back to live with his parents.
“He was an active member of HGISF and the Attabad Students Association (ASA)”, Maula Madad Qizil, President of ASA told Pamir Times. He expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic death of Aziz Karim.

Indeed a very sad news. If certain locations have past record of frequent accidents! there is a need to fix sign boards by the village volunteers if the government shows no responsibilities!
