Power protests turn ugly in Ishkoman, Tehsildar injured, DSP’s vehicle torched

Chatorkhand, December 10: Agitation against power outages turned ugly in the Ishkoman Valley of Ghizar District, when protesters resorted to violence and torched a vehicle belonging to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). A Tehsildar (Magistrate) was also injured in the unforeseen incident of violence.

A large contingent of police was sent to the Ishkoman valley from District Headquarters, Gahkuch, to control the situation.

It is pertinent to note that the residents of Ishkoman Valley have been protesting against the power outages since yesterday. They have also blocked supply of water to some power stations and disrupted the electricity supply systems to the district headquarters.
