Garam Chashma branch of First Micro Finance Bank inaugurated

Chitral, December 30: The First Micro Finance Bank has inaugurated its branch in the Garamchashma region of Chitral Valley. Area Manager, Amir Wali Khan, informed that FMFB, associated with the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance, has been instrumental in empowerment of the ordinary people through poverty alleviation initiatives.

He said that as a not-for-profit dispensation, the bank reinvests its profits in projects of public welfare. The bank will also improve the culture of saving and provide easy access to micro-credit to develop agricultural productivity and small businesses, Wali said.

The inauguration meeting was attended by local notables and representatives of various organizations.
