[Attabad Disaster] PYF endorses Gilgit conference resolution

Gilgit, January 5: Progressive Youth Front (PYF) has endorsed the resolution passed during a conference organized by Rabita Committee Mutasreen-e-Gojal yesterday.

Talking to Pamir Times, Zahoor Ilahi of PYF said that the excavation project of Attabad spillway should be handed over to China immediately. He said that the imprisoned leaders of PYF have expressed solidarity with all the protesters who commemorated the second anniversary of the Attabad landslide disaster.

He said that two of the party’s members and sympathizers, Shaheed Shehzad Sher – hit by a boulder at Attabd during relief work and Fazal Karim – suicide after being charged with ‘terrorism”, had lost their lives during the Attabad crisis.
