Army should take control of Gilgit: Noorul Ain

Gilgit, January 9: Former Education Advisor to Chief Executive, Miss Noorul Ain, has said that the provincial government has failed to establish rule of law in Gilgit. Lives of ordinary people are being threatened by terrorists and the government seems to be helpless. She advised the government not spread pessimism in the region through hopeless statements.

She requested the Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA) to take the situation in control and establish rule of law in the city to ensure protection of innocent lives. She made the statements while talking to regional media today.

Miss Noorul Ain blamed the government of trying to control the situation through newspaper statements.

She appealed to the clergy and religious leaders to play a positive role in pacifying the situation and taking the region to normalcy.
