Opening of alternate Lawari tunnel brings joy to Chitral

Chitral – An alternate tunnel has been opened at the Lawari top area for traffic.  The decision has brought joy to the stranded people fo Chitral valley whose only direct land connection with rest of Pakistan passes through this inhospitable mountain pass.

The local people have appreciated FWO’s role in maintaining the tunnel efficiently.

PTI leader Wg Cdr (r) Fardad Ali Shah has thanked the Army Chief and FWO for facilitating travellers in using the Lowari tunnel and specially accepting the public demand of opening the secondary tunnel also.
