Suzuki driver injured in firing incident

Gilgit, January 26: A Suzuki driver sustained double bullet injuries in the Baseen area of Gilgit today when unknown assailants opened fired on him in the evening.

According to details, Tajir Hussain son of Anwar, a resident of Baseen, was shot and injured this evening by unknown attackers. Police sources reported that one of the bullets crossed his ribs while another one hit his arm. He was immediately rushed to the DHQ Hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger.

Police have registered a case against unknown assailants and started investigation to arrest the culprit(s). According to locals the SP and DSP had immediately reached the spot after the news of shooting broke out.
