PAF wins Naltar Ski championship

Naltar February 24:  Pakistan Air Force took a decisive lead in the Sixth Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Ski Cup-2012 played at Naltar resorts, Gilgit today.

The closing ceremony was seen by Ski lovers and officers of the armed forces, including Commander Force Command Northern Areas, Major General Ikram Ul Haq, who was also the chief guest on the occasion.

At the closing ceremony of 6th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Ski Cup, skiers from different teams demonstrated their skills by displaying their mastery in various skiing maneuvers.

According to results, in the Giant Slalom category Sepoy of the Pakistan Army won Gold Medal, while Muhammad Abbas and Liaqat of the PAF won Silver and Bronze Medals, respectively. Sarwar Khan of PAF won Gold in the Super Giant category, while Pakistan Army’s Sepoy Abdullah Jan won Silver and Liaqat of PAF won the bronze medal.

Major General Ikram Ul Haq distributed medals and prizes among the most successful skiers. Twelve teams competed in this tournament from all parts of the country. GB Scouts secured third position in the event while GB Police was unable to get any significant success.
