Residents of Upper Chitral protest for restoration of district status

Chitral, March 6: The residents, politicians and social workers of Khot Valley, Torkhow Tehsil, Chitral staged a protest demonstration in support of the long standing demand for restoration of Upper Chitral’s status as a district.

The protest was led by Mir Nizamuddin Ex Nazim Union Council Khot. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the people of upper Chitral would not settle for anything other than the restoration of the region’s status as a district. He said it was in the interest of the federation to restore Upper Chitral as a district. He said that any other plan would not be acceptable to the people of the sub division Mastuj.
