Earthquake hits parts of Gilgit – Baltistan and Chitral

Gilgit, March 12: A moderate level earthquake hit different parts of Gilgit – Baltistan and Chitral region on Monday morning. According to online sources the intensity of the earthquake on Reichter Scale was 5.4.

 The earthquake was felt in almost all districts of GB. People came out of their houses chanting verses from the Holy Quran where the earth started shaking. In many parts of the region small and large boulders slide down slopes, reporters from different regions have reported.

The earthquake, reportedly, did not cause any major disruption in any part of the region.
