President confers Sitara-i-Imtiaz upon Muhammad Qavi

ISLAMABAD, Mar 18 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari has approved conferment of Sitara-i-Imtiaz upon renowned actor Muhammad Qavi Khan in recognition of his services in the field of performing arts. Mohammad Qavi Khan is among the few artists who have earned great fame in all the fields of performing arts. Starting his career in 1952 from Radio Pakistan and earning Life Time Achievement Award, he was the first hero of TV drama when Pakistan Television was started in 1964.
