Islamabad, March 24: The latest Wakhi language audio album named Gulipokiza, meaning the pristine flower in Wakhi, was launched today at the Lok Virsa. The lyrics has been written by Afzal Karim, while the music and vocals are by renowned Wakhi singer and composer, D.W. Baig.

The album has eight songs with soft music, echoing the soothing traditions of the Pamir mountains, enhanced by the power of modern and traditional musical instrument.

Baig performed two of the songs today at a cultural programme organized by Gojal Educational and Cultural Association, an Islamabad by civil society initiative working for the Pamiri communities of Pakistan.
