Cabinet decision ineffective, cellular networks still suspended in Astore and Ghizar

Gahkuch, April 26: The GB cabinet’s decision to reactivate cellular networks in Astore and Ghizar district seem to have had no impact. Thousands of people in these two districts and the districts of Diamer, Gilgit and Hunza – Nagar continue to suffer due to suspension of communication networks since April 3.

Last week the GB cabinet had announced that networks in the Astore and Ghizar district will be restored. However, the announcement and promise seem to have vanished in thin air, leaving thousands of consumers and traders in despair.

The local people are demanding restoration of the communication networks in at least the two districts, if not all, to facilitate the regions living in communicando for almost one month.
