Our Correspondent

Aliabad, August 8: Villages of Central Hunza are without electricity for the last six days. The relevant departments have failed to repair the water-supply channels destroyed by flooding in the Hussainabad Nallah, despite of support provided by the local public. Life has come to a standstill due to the absence of electricity. Hospitals and hotels are badly affected, causing troubles for patients and tourists.

The local people have demanded of the authorities to take notice of the situation and take remedial actions on priority basis.

Electricity problem will never ever be resolved in the central Hunza, because bigotry people are dragging it with their political aims and ambitions. When you protest, you are scattered with the hegemony of the law and order kings. Neither you can protest nor you can request the failed government which is helpless in terms of power generation across the country. All we can do is to wait for a miracle which we are going to expect it from the sky to be fell down. Otherwise we need to be hopeless in terms of power in Central Hunza.
