Usman Zakria appointed new IGP for Gilgit – Baltistan

Gilgit, August 10: Usman Zakria has been appointed new Inspector General of Police for Gilgit – Baltistan region. He has held several important positions at important cities, including Islamabad. He has also worked at the FIA at senior positions.

Winner of Quaid-e-Azam Medal for Police, Capt (r) Usman Zakria is considered to be an efficient and able officer.

The post of IGP had fallen vacant after the forceful removal of Hussain Asghar by the Prime Minister on the orders of Supreme Court.
