District Soccer Champions Trophy tournament concluded in Chitral

CHITRAL:  The final match of District Football Champions Trophy was concluded today in Chitral, the largest district of KP province.

In the final match Jang Bazar Football Team won the match with 5 goals while its rival team from Goldor could not score any goal. Chief Secretary Khyber Pahtonkhwa Ghulam Dastagir was chief guest at the occasion who was accompanied by provincial secretaries of other departments.

In first half Jang Bazar team scored three goals. They scored two more goals in the second half. Goldor team was, however, unable to score even a single goal.

The tournament was organized by Hashoo Foundation, a national NGO, to raise awareness about disaster  preparedness in Schools.

Chief Secretary KP Ghulam Dastagir hailed talent of Chitral youth in soccer and other games. He expressed concern over the fact that there is not even a single stadium for youth of Chitral. He announced construction of a full fledge public stadium for Chitral youth. He  gave 600, 000 rupees for paragliding team of Chitral.

He also awarded 20,000 rupees cash prize for the winner team and 10,000 for the runner up.
