Gilgit, February 17: The Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts won the Shah Khan Ski Trophy championships held in Naltar Valley. Skiing teams of Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Army stood second and third, respectively.

Prizes were distributed among the winners and players by Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt.

PIC 2Naik Hashim, Lance Naik Imran and Sepoy Bilal played an important role in ensuring victory of the Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts.

The Shah Khan Ski Trophy is held annually to pay tribute to the services of Group Captain (r) Shah Khan, hero of Gilgit-Baltistan’s war of liberation.

Group Captain (r) Shah Khan had also played an important role in establishment of the Naltar Ski Resort, while working in the Pakistan Air Force.
