Gilgit: Supreme Appellate Court takes notice of the alleged “sale of a girl”

Gilgit, April 25: The Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan has taken notice of a report about the alleged sale of an 18-year-old girl to a 50 years old man.

According to details, a teenage girl had been sold to a middle age man by her parents. The 50 years old man, reportedly, has two wives and thirteen children already. The girl fled from the home of her “buyer” and reached her parent’s home where she was tortured, according to reports.

An official of the Court has said that the court has ordered the Superintendent of Police to appear before Judge Rana Muhammad Arshad Khan, Chief Justice of the Supreme Appellate Court on 29th April, along with records of the case.
