Chitral: Ten people dead in road mishap, one injured

Chitral, January 26: As many as ten people died in a tragic road mishap while one person was badly injured yesterday in the Dharamgoal Bainus region of Chitral district.

District Police officer Chitral, Ghulam, informed that ten people had died in a road accident in the Dharamgoal Bainus area on Saturday. Giving details, he said that a passenger vehicle was on its from Shogram to Chitral carrying family members who were coming to Bakarabad for settling a dispute. When the vehicle reached Dhramgoal near Barinus it fell down in a deep ravine. Five people died on the spot while six were shifted to the DHQ Chitral where four people succumbed to their injuries. One person survived with severe injuries.

The deceased were identified as Aman Akbar Teacher, Gul Muhammad, Sardar Zaman teacher, Farhatullah,  a teacher, residents of Kosht and Shogram, Akbar , Faliqus, Saeedullah and Naseerullah,

The accident is being blamed on the poor condition of the roads. However, the police are investigating the case to ascertain the exact reasons.
