Student from Baltistan killed in Karachi

Karachi, March 19: Twenty three years old Arif Hussain was shot dead yesterday in Karachi while he was on his way to tutor some students.He belonged to the Skardu district of Gilgit-Baltistan region.

A university student, Arif was tutoring the students to cover his living costs in the metropolis. He was in the final years of his Masters degree.

The killing of Arif  has been condemned by student bodies and political organizations based in Gilgit-Baltistan and Karachi.

Protest demonstrations were also held yesterday by some organizations to demand arrest of the killers.
