Gahkuch, July 18: A flood in the Upper Gahkuch Nallah (Stream) has disrupted life in the District Headquarters of Ghizar, inflicting heavy damages on local residents.

The flooding occurred at around 3 O’clock in the morning, damaging cropped fields, houses, a hospital, markets and roads. The district administration has sprang into action and efforts are being made to bring life back to normal.

Locals have appealed to the government to respond effectively and take measures to lessen future threats.
