Ghizar: Protesters demand action against killers of policemen

Gahkuch, August 19: People in Ghizar district protested against the murder of two police officers in a pasture of Singul Nallah. The protesters demanded action against the murderers of the policemen. They also demanded transferring of the district’s police superintendent (SP) and other administration officials who, they said, had failed to maintain law and order situation in the region under control.

The protesters also demanded deployment of GB Scout instead of Police in the pasture areas, sharing borders with Diamer district. They said that dozens of people have been killed in the pastures over the last many years but the culprits are roaming free. 

Nationalist leader MLA Nawaz Khan Naji, leader of the Balawaristan National Front, held discussion with the protesters and promised them that action will be taken against the culprits.

Bodies of the two policemen were found along with that of a murder suspect two days back from a pasture.

The Policemen had been dispatched the pasture to arrest the murder suspect, whose body was also found.
