Unidentified animal found dead near Passu, Gojal

Passu, August 27: Locals in the scenic Passu village of Gojal Valley were surprised to find the dead body of an animal that normally is not seen in the mountainous valley. The dead animal was found on the Karakuram Highway near Passu.

Local elders were unable to identify the animal, because the species is not found in the region.

Some locals are suspecting that the animal may have been dropped in the region by smugglers who routinely transport illegally captured animals to and from China, through the Khužrav border.
