Sixty year old man gunned down in Danyore, Gilgit

Gilgit: A sixty years old man identified as Hayat Khan, son of Shahzad Mir, a resident of Sultanabad, was shot dead in Danyore locality of Gilgit district today by unidentified assailant (s).

Hayat, reportedly, was a polo player and a leader of the Gujar Ittehad Council. According the initial reports, the person died after sustaining injuries caused by a pistol.

The police are investigating the case. Motive behind the heinous crime remains unknown. Locals in Sultanabad staged a protest demonstration against the incident, demanding action against the culprit (s).
