[Pictorial] “Phindek”, cultural revival festival held in Chitral

Chitral, September 6: Traditional festival ‘Phindik’ was held in Parkusap, a picturesque village located in the Mastuj Valley, of Chitral district. The event was organized by Chitral Association for Mountain Area Tourism (CAMAT) under SGAFP initiative, aiming to revive traditional games, festivals, foods and costumes.

More than 400 people, both male and female, participated in the event. The activities included traditional food cooking competition, traditional games and music.

Prominent social worker and cultural activist, Mr Amiruddin, was chief guest on the occasion. Prizes were distributed amongst the best performers in various fields.

The local community resolved to hold the event every year with traditional fervor and zeal.
