Five Afghanis arrested from Chilas on suspicion, foreign currency recovered

Gilgit: Police has arrested five suspected Afghan nationals from Chilas, the headquarters of Diamer District.

According to details, the five people came to Chilas in the afternoon from Rawalpindi in a NATCO bus. Police has reportedly recovered dollars and Saudi currency from the Afghan nationals, who have been identified as Aman Ullah son of Ateeque, Muhammad Ali, Jamil Khan, Aman Ullah son of Talib and Rahim Ullah.

Regional police chief has confirmed the detention of the Afghan nationals to the media. He has however said that apart from the foreign currency no other suspicious items were recovered from the detainees.
