Two-headed girl born at Gilgit City hospital dies after four hours

Gilgit: A two-headed baby girl was born today at a hospital in Gilgit city. The baby was taken out of the mother’s womb after surgery.

According to details shared by Bibi Hawa, who assisted the doctor during the procedure and took the photograph posted with this report, the baby was taken out after surgery by Dr. Zubaida. The child reportedly survived for not more than four hours after being taken out through surgical procedure.

It is pertinent to note that children with double-heads are called Bicephaly, or Bicephalic, and in the past this rare condition among humans has been reported from different parts of the world.
