Wheat grain shortage reported in snowclad Chechri village of Astore District

Astore: A group of residents of the Chechri village of Astore district has approached the media today to inform that their area has received up to 5 feet snow fall during the last couple of days.

The locals of the village told the media that access to the area has been blocked due to heavy snowfall and that they are suffering because the food department has failed to supply wheat to their area. They appealed to the ministry of food and the district administration to prioritize the area’s needs and ensure supply of wheat and other essentials. With reporting by Subkhan Suhail
