Islamabad United had the final laugh in Dubai. Captain Misbah lifted the winning trophy of the inaugural Pakistan Super League, attributing the victory to the collective efforts of the team.

Batting first, Quetta Gladiators scored 174 runs in the given 20 overs. Islamabad United was able to successfully chase the total, with a startling 73 runs inning by the stylish Smith from West Indies.

Quetta, after initial failures in the tournament came back brilliantly, defeating strong teams and qualifying for the final match. Islamabad was also considered to be an underdog. Both teams, through their exceptionally brilliant comebacks, played the final.

Quetta was considered to be the favorite team for the final match, but Misbah 11 was able to prove everyone wrong, winning comfortably in the end.
