BScN Student from Sultanabad commits suicide

A second-year student of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programme reportedly hanged himself inside his hostel room at the Aga Khan University in Karachi. The student has been identified as Waseem Akram Baig, a resident of the Sultanabad village of Danyore, District Gilgit.

AKUH representative has informed the press that Waseem was studying on a full scholarship, and that he was an active participant in co-curricular activities.

Police sources have told the media that it is a case of suicide. The cause of taking the drastic step remains unknown.
