Arms Smuggling Case: Gilgit ATC sends Chinese national behind the bar for nine years

Gilgit: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Gilgit today sentenced a Chinese national arrested on 24th May to nine years imprisonment after he confessed his crime of trying to smuggle four pistols and ammunition across the border.

The Chinese citizen was arrested from the Khunjerab National Park, while trying to cross the border into China. The court has also barred the citizen from entering Pakistan again.

Judge Shahbaz Khan directed IG Punjab to take action against the arms dealer who sold four pistols and hundreds of bullets to the foreign national.
