Police arrests men accused of chopping down 300 fruit trees to settle score

Diamer: In a bizarre turn of events, police has arrested a number of people on charges of chopping down up to 300 fruit laden trees, allegedly to settle a personal score.

According to details, a man named Talib Ullah, a resident of Upper Geeni village located near Chilas, approached the police to lodge a complaint, saying 300 of his fruit trees had been chopped down in a single night. He told the police that his opponents, Ziaur Rehman and Faizur Rehman were involved in the incident, along with their companions. He said that the chopping down of the trees has caused him great economic and emotional loss, because he had spent years nurturing the plants.

Police sprang into action and arrested all the accused based on the complaint filed by Lutfullah.
