7 people have died in a tragic road accident in Ghizer district

Gilgit: At least seven people have died in a tragic road accident near the Hayim village of Tehsil Punial, District Ghizer. The vehicle (Suzuki pick-up) carrying the passengers was traveling form Yasin towards Gilgit when it lost control and fell in a ravine.

Local reporters have said that the passengers were from a Tablighi Jamat (group of preachers), and they belonged to Hatoon village of Punial.

All people traveling in the vehicle have died, say initial reports.

The deceased have been identified as Yasir Hussain S/o Shah wazir (16), Ssajad s/o Hajab (15), Zafran (34), Syed Amin S/o Abdul Hamid (17), Sadar Uddin (22), Wadood son of Fazal Rehman (23) and Ali Madad (driver), who was a resident of Gindai village (Yasin). The six other victims belonged to Hatoon village of Punial.

Dead bodies are being shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital, Gahkuch.
