The charming sky was no more clean<\/p>\n
When Attabad became a disaster scene<\/p>\n

As earth cracked and buried homes<\/p>\n
Life went off with the sliding loam,<\/p>\n
And the angel of death in my valleys roamed<\/p>\n
For a while all hope and smiles were gone!<\/p>\n

There was mud and boulder and dust everywhere,<\/p>\n
Such scenes, in my valley, are very rare<\/p>\n
As the water roared with a mighty flare,<\/p>\n
A deadly dam became our snare!<\/p>\n

I can hear the cries and feel the pain,<\/p>\n
Bringing down one’s home is never fain!<\/p>\n
These tears and sobs\u00a0will not be vain<\/p>\n
From the ashes and dust<\/p>\n
We will rise again!<\/p>\n
