The decision will lead to increase in House Rent Allowance and\u00a0Conveyance\u00a0Allowance of government employees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The high-sounding &#8220;announcement&#8221; by non other than the Prime Minister is being with scepticism by residents of Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan&#8217;s largest city, which is plagued with the menace of sectarian killings, crimes and dilapidation of absence of civic facilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The PM had announced on September 29, 2009, to upgrade Gilgit and Skardu&#8217; s status to that of a &#8220;Big City&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>ISLAMABAD, Sept 9 (APP)<\/strong>: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Friday approved the proposal of Planning and Development Division for enhancement of the sanctioning powers to Gilgit-Baltistan Development Working Party (GBDWP) from Rs 200 million to Rs 400 million in order to cater for increase in the development portfolio.
