It is for the first time in Oscar’s history that a Pakistani’s work was nominated for and won an Academy Award.<\/p>\n

Directed by Daniel Junge and produced by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Saving Face is the story of a British plastic surgeon, Dr. Mohammad Jawad, who returns to his country of origin every year, dedicating his time bring back smiles on the faces of victims of acid burns.<\/p>\n

The news has brought smiles and pride to a nation faced with political, social and economic challenges.<\/p>\n
