Astore<\/strong>: A mother and her child lost their lives at District Headquarters Hospital, Astore, allegedly due to “negligence” of the staff and unavailability of doctor.<\/p>\n

According to reports, a pregnant woman named Qmarina Begum hailing from Minimarg area was brought to the District Headquarters Hospital, where she delivered a child. Her condition reportedly deteriorated after the delivery. The Nurse present at the moment could not handle the case and called for a doctor who apparently refused to come saying he had no “conveyance”. After suffering for some time the mother and her new born child were dead.<\/p>\n

Heirs of the deceased have staged a protest demonstration in front of the hospital and demanded of the chief judge for taking notice of the situation and giving justice to the bereaved family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
